—I would like to thank Dr Eiferman for his comments regarding our recent work in cryosurgery as well as his suggestions regarding modification of the tip of the cryoprobe.

As I stated in our article, we also treat individual eyelashes with an epilation tip, which is the small pointed tip that is commercially available and attaches to the nitrous oxide eyelid cryoprobe. This was shown in Fig 1 of our article. I also have had this tip sharpened to facilitate its penetration into the eyelid down to the base of the follicles. The small sharp tip is certainly indicated for individual isolated aberrant lashes; however, the majority of my cases require ablation of the eyelashes in a large area or involving the whole eyelid. I find the small sharpened epilating tip time-consuming in cases that have a number of aberrant eyelashes and have experienced a higher recurrence rate . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
