This volume of expertly discussed topics was dedicated to the late Marvin H. Quickert, MD, a frequent and original contributor to the field of ophthalmic plastic surgery. His presentation on repair of the lacrimal system covers current and most suitable methods in lacrimal trauma surgery: clinical examples are used to clarify appropriate techniques.

The publication's 14 papers cover a multiplicity of topics of primary interest to the ophthalmic plastic surgeon. Dissertations on a wide variety of oculoplastic entities, including the repair of colobomas, gunshot wounds, blow-out and naso-orbital fractures, provide a wealth of information gathered by the authors. The cosmetic complications of blepharoplasty are discussed, and scleral transplantation procedures are culminated by considerations of cryosurgery of basal cell carcinomas.
