This volume of the International Ophthalmology Clinics is oriented toward therapy of bacterial corneal ulcers, herpes simplex keratitis, keratomycosis, chlamydial eye disease (trachoma and inclusion conjunctivitis), dry eyes, recurrent corneal erosion, and cicatrizing conjunctival inflammation (mucosal pemphigoid and erythema multiforme). The editors have attempted to stress information so new that it could not have been published five years ago.

Among therapeutic agents that are treated in depth are antibiotics, old and new, antiviral agents, soft lenses, tear substitutes, corticosteroids, collagenase inhibitors, and heparin.
