Appointment of Albert M. Potts.

—The University of Louisville has announced the appointment of Albert M. Potts, PhD, MD, as professor and chairman of the department of ophthalmology at the University. Dr. Potts comes to Louisville from the University of Chicago, where he was professor and director of research in ophthalmology.

Advanced Course in Ophthalmic Microsurgery.

—An advanced course in ophthalmic microsurgery will be held July 24 through 26, 1975, at the Center Pavilion Hospital, 1700 Holcombe Blvd, Houston.

The course will be limited to 30 people and the fee is $500; however, a 10% discount will be offered those registering prior to July 5, 1975.

The course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and instruction in animal surgery in the following areas: instrumentation and suturing techniques; cataract extraction and complications; glaucoma procedures; penetrating and lamellar keratoplasty; lacerations of the globe; expulsive hemorrhage; subchoroidal effusion; loss of the anterior . . .
