Dr. A. Pillat, of Vienna, at present Director of the Eye Department of the Union Medical College, in Peiping, China, has been appointed head of the Eye Department of the Lainzer-Krankenhaus of the City of Vienna, as successor to Professor Lauber, who is now in Warsaw.

GENERAL

Memorial to Theodor Axenfeld.—The tablet commemorating Theodor Axenfeld is ready to be placed in the lecture room of the University Eye Clinic, in Freiburg. It gives a full-face picture of the late master, and is the work of Professor Rickert, of Beilefeld. The subscriptions for this memorial came from all parts of the world.
