Subsequent editions of medical texts always seem to increase in size. This compendium of ocular syndromes is no exception, increasing from 211 pages in the 1965 edition to 289 in the present one. Ophthalmology is particularly susceptible to eponymic confusion. Dr. Geeraets's little manual includes cross references based on ocular manifestations, systemic manifestations, etiological factors, age, sex, and ethnic groups.
