The third edition of this handbook follows the format of the previous editions but, of course, updates the material to 1969. It is a most useful clinical manual which the practicing ophthalmologist should be delighted to have. The indications, dosages, as well as the generic and proprietary names of the commonly used medications are readily available in tabular form. The second section is, in effect, a miniature ophthalmic textbook of pharmacology, expanding on the drugs described in the therapeutic section.
