Opportunity for Service in Africa.

—The Laymen's Overseas Service has need of ophthalmologists for Africa (Ebolowa, Cameroun, and West Africa) for periods of four to six weeks. All of these positions require that the volunteer pay all expenses (which are tax deductible). Those interested should contact Laymen's Oversease Service, 321 Mississippi St, Jackson, Miss 39201.

Myopia to Be Scrutinized.

—The Myopia Research Foundation, Inc., chartered in 1963, has begun to organize the first comprehensive, interdisciplinary research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of myopia. It is working in close consultation with research authorities in the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md, and United States Public Health Service, Washington, DC.
