Opportunity for Service in Africa.
—The Laymen's Overseas Service has need of ophthalmologists for Africa (Ebolowa, Cameroun, and West Africa) for periods of four to six weeks. Myopia to Be Scrutinized.
—The Myopia Research Foundation, Inc., chartered in 1963, has begun to organize the first comprehensive, interdisciplinary research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of myopia. It is working in close consultation with research authorities in the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md, and United States Public Health Service, Washington, DC.
Nearsighted people throughout the country will be invited to present important data and to participate in other ways for proper research through their eye doctors and general physicians. A diversity of organized studies including
