Undifferentiated sarcomas are malignant tumors of mesenchymal origin. Those arising in the orbit tend to occur in the younger age groups. The present report is the first, to our knowledge, in which an undifferentiated orbital sarcoma was present at birth.

Report of Case

The patient, a 6-day-old white female and product of a normal gestation and delivery, was referred to Research and Educational Hospitals for evaluation and treatment of a right orbital mass. The tumor was present at birth and had not appreciably increased in size in the period prior to admission. The mother was in good health, as were four other siblings. Family history was negative for heredofamilial tumors.
