To the Editor:
—In reference to the editorial on Javal's book (Cogan, D. C.: Entre Aveugles, ARCH OPHTHAL 68:1-2, 1962) here are two further references on this subject by Pierre Villey may be of interest. Villey lost his sight early but was able to work his way up to a professorship in literature in the University of Caen. He was very unfortunately killed in a train accident. Here are the references:
