To the Editor:
—An article in the June issue of the ARCHIVES (Kornblueth, W., et al.: Intraocular Pressure in the Newborn Measured Under General Anesthesia 67:750-752, 1962) reawakened an old question in my mind. I am sure that it can be answered, but I am not aware of any recent explanation. My question is this: How does the intraocular pressure of the newborn relate to the curvature of the footplate of the standard Schiøtz tonometer?
