ANNOUNCEMENTS
Surgery of the Cornea.
—The New York University Post-Graduate Medical School will offer a full-time course, Nov. 13-17, 1961, in Surgery of the Cornea. The course will present all the practical aspects of corneal surgery, including anatomy, physiology, indications and contraindications, instrumentation, techniques, results, postoperative care and complications of keratectomies and keratoplasties. Mornings will be dedicated to the discussion of clinical material, with patients, and to the observation of corneal surgery techniques. On the last morning students will perform on cat eyes several of the techniques demonstrated during the course. Tuition is $250. The course is under the direction of Dr. Ramon Castroviejo.
Association for Research in Ophthalmology: Western Section.
—The Association for Research in Ophthalmology, Western Section, will meet on Nov. 10-11, 1961, at Asilomar, Monterey Peninsula, Pacific Grove, Calif. The meeting will combine research papers with a postgraduate course on "External Ocular Diseases." The guest speakers for
