Once again Spring brought together thirty odd (in the sense of more than) authorities on ophthalmic pathology to demonstrate slides of unusual interest, to debate esoteric questions as microscopists conceive them, and in general to heckle one another. Meeting annually at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, this group (which objects to being called an organization) provides a means for distributing rare pathologic specimens throughout this country and abroad. Because the membership is limited by the meeting facilities and by the time required for presentation of material, each member has moral responsibility to demonstrate the slides to others in his or her own community. Accordingly, the Club maintains a regional representation in its membership and, in recent years, has invited a foreign guest to its sessions.
