In this volume, as usual, are meaningful abstracts of articles that have appeared in the ophthalmic literature during the preceding year. It thus affords the busy practitioner an easy and quick way to scan the recent publications. The present issue contains not only these abstracts but also an excellent and timely review on the management of uveitis. In this section, the editor, in clear concise terms, describes the practical aspects of the treatment of the various forms of this disease. Many helpful suggestions are to be found in this discussion. In previous years, the editor has made pertinent comments on most of the abstracted articles. It is to be regretted that these critical analyses do not abound in the current issue.
