All readers of this handy little volume, including Dr. Hughes, the new editor, regret Dr. Derrick Vail's retirement from the editorship of the Year Book, but it is extremely gratifying to see that Dr. Hughes has carried on in the same style and added his editorial comments to the abstracts which have made them so valuable in the past. In this volume there is a special article by Dr. Alex Krill on Clinical Electroretinography, which is an excellent survey of the field, and particularly useful to those who need an initiation into this new technique. The rest of the volume continues to report with accuracy various articles abstracted from current literature, and these are arranged in more or less anatomical sequence.
