The second edition of this very valuable and authoritative text on the roentgenological diagnosis of pathological conditions affecting the head and neck has been considerably enlarged and brought up to date. The second edition appears in two volumes, with a changed format, and a complete index of the subject matter is printed in each of the two volumes.
The chapters on the lacrimal passageways and the eye and the orbit will be of great interest to ophthalmologists. Methods of localization of foreign bodies are given in detail. The use of oxygen injected into Tenon's capsule is described, and various methods for obtaining x-ray images of the anterior portion of the eyeball, free of superimposed bone, and of the detection of small intraocular glass fragments are given.
