This authoritative work on dermatology will be of interest to ophthalmologists in treating patients with lesions of the skin of the lids. While there are no sections devoted specifically to lid conditions, the general principles of diagnosis and treatment are clearly described. Most dermatologic texts leave one confused by the ex cathedra diagnoses of rare skin lesions. In this book the authors have considerably simplified the diagnostic approach, and as a result it should now be possible for even an ophthalmologist to recognize and treat 90% of the conditions he sees in his office without recourse to further help.
The book is beautifully printed and illustrated.
