I. Granular-Cell Myoblastoma

Granular-cell myoblastoma is an uncommon lesion which occurs most frequently in the tongue but has also been found in the subcutaneous tissue of the trunk and the extremities. It has been observed in the lips, the floor of the mouth, and the vocal cord. Its occurrence around the eye is so extremely rare that many ophthalmologists are not familiar with the clinical course or the histologic picture of this tumor.

The tumor has been found in the orbit¹ and in the area of the lacrimal sac.* A few cases have been observed where a myoblastoma occurred in the lid.³ Our case is the first instance of a myoblastoma of the brow, apparently connected with the orbicularis muscle.
