This paper is a report of a case with serious ocular complications associated with Felty's syndrome, a syndrome whose cardinal triad of features consists of chronic rheumatoid arthritis, splenomegaly, and leucopenia. A search of the literature fails to reveal any previous report of ocular findings with Felty's syndrome, except for one brief reference. This reference¹ concerned a case of Felty's syndrome in which an eye was enucleated for endophthalmitis and in which, unfortunately, there was no pathologic study of the enucleated eye. We believe our case is unique in that a splenectomy was performed in the hope of saving an eye.
