The author believes that many general physicians avoid neuro-ophthalmological problems because they consider them extremely complicated. He wrote this book to simplify neuro-ophthalmology. Insofar as this is possible by presenting a very abbreviated picture, the author has succeeded. This is definitely an introduction to the subject and since it is in German, will hardly be of interest to the average American reader. The book is divided into two parts: the first considering the eye symptoms in nervous diseases, and the second detailing those nervous diseases which have eye symptomatology. The book is well written in simple, straightforward German, and the illustrations are good.
