This excellent compendium of ophthalmology has now gone through 21 editions since Dr. Charles May published the first edition, in 1900. It has been carefully brought up to date and will undoubtedly continue to serve a useful purpose for those who wish a very condensed view of the whole of ophthalmology.
The chief objection to such books for teaching medical students is their attempt to give a little about everything, so that, in order that texts may be kept small, some important subjects must suffer.
