WITH THIS issue the three-year term of service of the present Board of Associates comes to a close. On each succeeding month one of the twelve Associates completes his assignment for the Annual Reviews.

The Editorial Board wishes to express its appreciation to each of these men who have made this feature of the ARCHIVES so successful. The task is a laborious and time-consuming one, and it has not seemed fair to impose on one man more than three years' service. Each has made a distinct contribution to ophthalmology by creating a permanent record of the current year's literature in his selected field.
