I HAVE used the Allen plastic implant a number of times after enucleation. At first, it was exceedingly difficult to prevent the 16 threads from becoming entangled, and it was especially annoying when one of the clamps on the 4 sutures on one muscle rolled, thus twisting the threads and perhaps the muscle also. In order to obviate these difficulties, I have used the simple plan indicated in the sketch in handling the sutures.
