Dr. May's popular textbook is kept up to date by the energy of its present editor, Dr. Charles A. Perera, and should continue its popularity and serve as a reliable and practical introduction to the practice of ophthalmology. Though a number of illustrations have been replaced, most of the remaining black and white illustrations have outlived their
distinctness, and the presswork is poor.
