The second session of the Congress of the Argentine Society of Ophthalmology was held on Oct. 28-30, 1936. There were nine sessions, including one devoted to operations. The report contains many important papers, some of the titles of which are : "Avitaminosis in Ophthalmology," "Angioid Streaks in the Retina," "Treatment of Convergent Strabismus," "Protein Therapy," "Treatment of Tumors of the Hypophysis," "Harada's Disease," "Trachoma," "Detachment of the Retina" and "Basal Vascular Sclerosis." At the operative clinic dacryocystorhinostomy and the intracapsular cataract extraction were demonstrated.
Congratulations are to be extended on a very successful congress, to judge by the papers presented. The subjects discussed comprise the clinical problems of the day and undoubtedly proved most interesting and useful.
