Annual Congress of Ophthalmological Society of United Kingdom.

—The annual congress of the Ophthalmological Society of the United Kingdom will be held at the headquarters of the Royal Society of Medicine, Wimpole Street, London, W., on April 20-22, 1939. The subject for discussion is "The Problems of Refraction." The discussion will be opened by Mr. R. Affleck Greeves, Mr. Charles Goulden and Mr. A. Harold Levy. Members who wish to take part in this discussion should notify Mr. Frank W. Law (36, Devonshire Place, W. 1) before February 28. The Bowman Lecture will be delivered by Professor Weve, his subject being, "Diathermy in Ophthalmic Practice." The International Organization Against Trachoma and the International Association for the Prevention of Blindness will hold their annual meetings on Wednesday, April 19, at the same venue as that of the Ophthalmological Society.
