First Irving H. Leopold Teaching Day and Lecture Announced.

Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the CUNY in New York City has scheduled the first Irving H. Leopold Teaching Day and Lecture for September 15, 1995. Paul L. Kaufman, MD, professor of ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, will give the Irving H. Leopold Lecture. Bernard Becker, MD, professor and chairman emeritus of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, Mo, will be the honored guest.

Schepens Eye Institute Receives Grant.

The Schepens Eye Research Institute in Boston, Mass, was awarded a $1 million research grant by the Lucille P. Markey Charitable Trust of Miami, Fla. The award will support research into the genetics of ocular immune and inflammatory diseases.
