This sixth of the 10-volume Textbook of Ophthalmology series edited by Podos and Yanoff strives to be a concise and lucid presentation of the subject of neuro-ophthalmology. In this 252-page book, Slamovits and Burde provide the editorial coordination of the contributions of nine authors, or pairs of authors, for the 10 chapters that make up this volume. The editors and authors have excellent credentials and extensive clinical experience in the field of neuroophthalmology. Having multiple authors from multiple institutions can result in inconsistency of style and format, and in this book the transitions from chapter to chapter are, at times, abrupt and less cohesive than would be ideal. It would have been helpful to have an introductory paragraph or two by the editors clarifying the unifying theme and structure of the book, with some explanation of the sequence of the chapters.
