We were pleased to see the letter by Goggin et al, regarding their 1-year follow-up showing that the diode laser was as effective as cryotherapy in treating threshold disease.¹ Regrettably, they were not referenced in our article.² At this point, we cannot comment on the other aspect of their letter regarding their report at the International Conference of Retinopathy of Prematurity,³ indicating that myopia was encountered less often with the use of the diode laser than with cryotherapy.
