American Academy of Ophthalmology Presents Heed Award.

Roy W. Beck, MD, PhD, received the Heed Award during the 1994 meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in San Francisco, Calif. Dr Beck received the award in recognition of his leadership and contributions in the field of ophthalmology. Dr Beck served his neuro-ophthalmology fellowship in 1981-1982 at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He is currently a clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa; an adjunct professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, Tampa; and director of the Jaeb Center for Health Research, Tampa.
