Mariannette J. Miller-Meeks Appointed Assistant Professor.
Mariannette J. Miller-Meeks has been appointed assistant professor of ophthalmology and director of primary eye care at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, effective August 1,1994. Dr Miller-Meeks completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa. She has been an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, Ann Arbor, since 1991.
Share the Vision" Receives Gift.
A $25 000 gift from the Guild of Prescription Opticians, Fairfax, Va, matched by a $25 000 gift from the Varilux Corporation, Oldsmar, Fla, were presented to the "Share the Vision" program at the National Opticians Convention in Nashville, Tenn, on June 2,1994. The gift marked the fifth anniversary of "Share the Vision," which gives grant support to individual scientists studying blindness. In addition, it underwrites the provision of eye tissue for sight-related research.
