Measurements made before cataract surgery and 1 to 3 days and 1 to 3 weeks after surgery were available.
We used the data obtained 1 to 3 days after surgery to evaluate observer agreement because there was little variability among measurements before surgery and at 1 to 3 weeks after surgery. The laser flare/cell measurements were compared with clinical gradings at each of the three time points. The correlation of laser flare measurements between technicians was.97, and the correlation of cell measurements was.96. The means and SEs of flare and cell measurements
