Drs Casey and Sharif have assembled an impressive collection of cases of corneal dystrophies and degenerations from the Cornea and External Disease clinics at Queen Victoria Hospital in England. As stated in the preface, "detailed descriptions [of these disorders] are readily available in textbooks, but they are often hard to relate to the accompanying pictures, which are usually in black-and-white, few in number, and all too often bear little relationship to the cases we actually see in the clinic." Fortunately, the authors have provided a successful remedy to this problem by sharing many of the best cases from their extensive experience in this collection of color photos, schematic diagrams, and histopathologic correlations of corneal dystrophies and degenerations.
