New Officers Elected.
—The New York Society for Clinical Ophthalmology recently announced the election of the following new officers: Frederick M. Wang, MD, president; Dorothy N. Friedberg, MD, chairman, program committee; Stanley Chang, MD, chairman, membership committee; Thomas O. Muldoon, MD, treasurer; Ronald M. Burde, MD, recording secretary; Andrew M. Prince, MD, corresponding secretary; and Kevin C. Greenidge, MD, historian.
Lions Clubs International Announces Sight First Grants.
—Lions Clubs International has pledged $116000 to establish three additional regional eyeglass recycling centers in the United States. The donation will fund the expansion of the Lions' eyeglass recycling program funded by SightFirst, the association's $130 million initiative to support programs that help eliminate preventable and reversible blindness around the world. The SightFirst grant will also be used to maintain the Lions' two existing regional eyeglass recycling centers in California and Indonesia. Used eyeglasses donated to the centers are sorted, cleaned, repaired, and classified
