To the Editor.
—In their article in the December 1989 issue of the ARCHIVES, Sergott et al1 state that "... and lysis of presumed arachnoidal adhesions within the subdural space resulted in additional CSF [cerebrospinal fluid] drainage...." Surely they mean they opened the subarachnoid space. The subdural space is only a potential space between the dura and arachnoid and ordinarily does not contain cerebrospinal fluid.2,3
