This is an excellent, up-to-date review of ocular and periocular infections. The author has organized the material so that the reader can examine each of its audiovisual components separately. The audiovisual presentation allows the reader to obtain an in-depth familiarity with the subject. The manual and handbook allow ready reference to individual subjects. The slides are of superb quality and present visual material on diagnosis and treatment that has greater impact and teaching value than comparable material in reference textbooks on the subject.
"... an excellent, up-to-date review of ocular and periocular infections."
The audiotapes allow one to follow the material presented in the slides. The tapes can also be meaningfully listened to without simultaneously viewing the slides. The slides are referenced in the manual, which allows easy access to the pertinent photographic material. A reference handbook allows ready access to information on microbial agents responsible for conjunctivitis, keratitis, and endophthalmitis.
