New Chairman Appointed.

—J. Terry Ernest, MD, PhD, was appointed chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago and at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, on July 1. He succeeds Frank Newell, MD, and Manuel Stillerman, MD. Dr Ernest has been a professor of ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago, for the past three years and will retain his affiliation there as adjunct professor of ophthalmology. He will also continue his position as editor of the Yearbook of Ophthalmology.

Medical Malpractice Reform Agreement.
