This volume contains over 100 papers that were presented at the fourth annual meeting of the International Strabismological Association, Oct 25 through 29, 1982, Asilomar, Calif. The international flavor is very apparent, with many contributions from Europe, South America, and Japan. While the range of material is

somewhat greater than one might anticipate from the name of the book, there is little that is really new. There are the usual summaries of clinical studies, ranging from examinations of gait and postural sway in strabismic children to the use of adjustable sutures. Some of the articles deal with various types of evoked response recordings and eye movement measurements. If one is interested in papers on "new aniseikonia tests" or discriminant analysis of acquired esotropia, one can find them here.
