This book is based on a laser symposium held at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City. It reviews all of the most important clinical applications of lasers in ophthalmology: trabeculoplasty, iridotomy, macular and panretinal photocoagulation, and neodymium-YAG laser photodisruption. The emphasis is on current treatment indications and techniques, and this book would be useful for the clinician who wants to review the current status of laser therapeutics in ophthalmology. Most of the information in the book is current. One useful feature of the book is a brief syllabus at the end, summarizing indications, techniques, and complications for the most frequently employed laser procedures.
