This book deals largely with topics outside of the realm of ophthalmic plastic surgery. The author professes that there are no books on the market that would deal with both general principles and their applications in different body regions. I find that a very fortunate circumstance because I do not believe that any one book should cover all body regions. It simply cannot do justice to any particular part adequately. This certainly appears to hold true in the area of the eye and orbit. The techniques listed for that region in this work are for the most part scanty and do not reflect the newer developments in the area of lid reconstruction. The historical reviews, however, are of interest.

"Useful for a general plastic surgeon, but it has little value for an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon."
