National Society to Prevent Blindness Appoints New Executive Director.

— Michael L. Weamer, former executive director of the New York Easter Seal Society, Inc, has been appointed executive director of the 76-year-old National Society to Prevent Blindness. The announcement was made by Gerald Z. Dubinski, Sr, president of the voluntary health agency headquartered in New York City.

Mr Weamer has served the Easter Seal organization for 11 years. Prior to his position at New York Easter Seal Society, he was executive director of the Easter Seal Society of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania.

The National Society to Prevent Blindness directs a comprehensive sight conservation program serving every age group through community services, public and professional education, and research.
