This is the third in a series of books on selected subjects in ophthalmic plastic surgery. It contains an exhaustive summary of current modalities of diagnosis and treatment of lacrimal diseases in its 47 chapters, each written by a prominent oculoplastic specialist.

The book is intended for those who have a subspecialty interest in lacrimal disease, and it frequently offers different opinions on several areas of controversy, from the question of pediatric lacrimal probing to the treatment of epithelial tumors of the lacrimal gland. Other lesser known entities, such as lacrimal sac tumors, lacrimal embryology, and the syndrome of conjunctivalchalasis, are discussed in detail.

Excellent descriptions of lacrimal anatomy, intubation techniques for lacrimal obstruction, microsurgical repair in lacrimal trauma, and the variety of surgical techniques for dacrocystorhinostomy can also be found.
