—An anniversary symposium on the use of YAG lasers in ophthalmology was held in Bern (Switzerland) Oct 3-5, 1984, in honor of the 60th birthday of Professor Franz Fankhauser and the 10th anniversary of YAG laser ophthalmic research.

Research Fellowship Stipends Available.

—The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago announces the availability of research fellowships beginning in 1985.
