—We appreciate Dr Carpel's reply to our recent article. As he suggests, we saw the majority of our patients after they had ceased contact lens wear and thus cannot comment on his experience. With four of our patients in whom contact lenses were refit, however, we have not had recurrences, except for one patient who had a recurrence when preservative-containing solution were reinstituted.
