In the editorial titled "Economic Analysis in Eye Disease," published in the January issue of the ARCHIVES (2003;121:115-116), an incorrect percentage was given in the first sentence of the article. The sentence should have read: "Health care expenditures in the United States will have approached 14% of the gross domestic product in 2002, with the costs of pharmaceuticals and hospital costs among the fastest growing segments of health care costs in the last 5 years.^1-3"
