We thank Dr Miglior for his interest in our article. He wants to see our paper from a different angle, but unfortunately he misconstrues our approach to the problem.

We are concerned whether glaucoma patients who had a large long-term IOP fluctuation are at risk of increased VF deterioration as compared with those who do not. When one performs a certain analysis including all patients without regard to IOP levels, one must be not free from the influence of elevated IOP. Accordingly, we selected only those patients always maintained with low IOPs (below 18 mm Hg) and excluded other patients.1-2 It is not true that none of our patients showed progressive VF defects because we performed intense IOP-lowering therapy.3
