Paul J. Foster, PhD, FRCS(Ed); Gus A. Gazzard, FRCOphth; Ted Garway-Heath, DM, FRCOphth; Robert Ritch, MD

Arch Ophthalmol. 2006;124:1062.

Since this article does not have an abstract, we have provided the first 150 words of the full text and any section headings.

We show goniophotographs of patients with primary angle closure (Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4).

Figure appears in full text version.
Figure 1. The drainage angle of a patient with asymptomatic angle closure following a laser iridotomy. An irregular line of dark pigment has been deposited along the Schwalbe line (black arrow) from the iris pigment epithelium. Although pigment was there prior to iridotomy, the density increased afterwards. Posterior to this, lighter-colored pigment tufts have been deposited on the face of the trabecular meshwork from the adjacent iris stroma (white arrow).

Figure appears in full text version.
Figure 2. Granular pigmentation anterior to the Schwalbe line, with a small tuft of adherent iris stroma (arrow) in an angle with appositional closure.

Figure appears in full text version.
Figure 3. After laser iridotomy, dark granular pigment is seen anterior to the Schwalbe line (black arrow), with geographical blotches . . . [Full Text of this Article]
