Cosmetic and Clinical Applications of Botulinum Toxin, edited and mostly written by Dr Lipham, is an up-to-date text reflecting his experience and knowledge on the subject. It serves as both an introductory text for beginners and an updated reference for clinicians experienced with botulinum toxin.
The books 9 well-written chapters begin with the important basics of the history of botulinum toxin, its mechanism of action, and pertinent facial anatomy. The anatomy is covered in excellent depth and is a topic critical to successful use of botulinum toxin but sadly ignored by many authors. The text is accompanied by a wealth of clinical photographs, anatomic sketches and tables, nearly all of which come from his own clinical practice.
