Septic Embolism of the Retina Following Extraction of a Carious Tooth
A patient 40 years old had a tooth extracted. Immediately afterwards
a high septic fever set in. Three days later the patient noticed loss of vision,
and there was to be seen in the region of the macula a large, elevated white
patch with a network of little retinal vessels at its margin and some hemorrhages
on its surface.
