ANGELUCCI examined bacteriologically twelve eyes enucleated after having caused sympathethic ophthalmia, and also portions of the iris removed by iridectomy from the eyes sympathetically inflamed. From the detailed reported results of his inoculations, it is particularly worthy of note that the cocci and diplococci from the iris of the two eyes sympathetically inflamed caused similar inflammatory changes when inoculated into the eyes of rabbits.
